The sweet natural Moscato di Pantelleria Giardino Pantesco by Pellegrino is 100% Zibibbo grown in the traditional bush vine method, a UNESCO heritage. On the island, the soils are of volcanic origin, sandy and slightly clayey, and the vineyards are located between sea level and 300 meters above sea level; here, the climate is predominantly Mediterranean, with mild winters, limited rainfall, and hot, breezy summers, conditions that ensure the natural health of the plants. The harvest takes place in the second decade of September, followed by a cold prefermentative maceration for 8-10 hours. After soft pressing, the must is fermented at 16°C until the desired level of residual sugars is reached, then the temperature is drastically lowered to stop the process. The wine then matures in temperature-controlled steel tanks for 5 months.
MOSCATO DI PANTELLERIA PELLEGRINO: TASTING
The sweet natural Moscato di Pantelleria Giardino Pantesco by Pellegrino presents a light, bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it transports you to a Mediterranean orchard in summer: yellow peach, melon, apricot, wild aromatic herbs, with intriguing citrus notes refreshing the profile. On the palate, it is harmonious, with the freshness of ripe grapefruit and the sweetness of peach. It pairs wonderfully with Sicilian cannoli, as well as with tarte tatin, but also simply with a ricotta cream with honey.
Estimated between Tuesday 6 May and Monday 12 May.
