“OPPIDUM” MARCHE IGP ROSSO 2017 - 1 bottle of 0.75 lt A
large part of the quality of this wine depends on the variety, climate and soil. The natural viticultural ecosystem must therefore have the fundamental vocation for quality, in particular the “terroir” (microclimate, soil and subsoil), the only irreplaceable one. The sugar content, acidity, PH, color, tannin and aroma depend on these factors, and only then do the oenological techniques and their application to the grapes obtained arrive.
Grapes: 100% Montepulciano
Production area: municipality of Acquaviva Picena and Offida province of Ascoli Piceno.
Soil: medium density tending to clay
Altitude: 300 meters above sea level
Breeding system: spurred cord
Harvest: end of October
Vinification: fermentation on the skins for 20 days, then malolactic fermentation follows.
Aging: 30% in barriques, the remaining 70% in small wooden barrels of 10 hl for about 12 months
Aging: 6 months in the bottle
Color: red with purple reflections
Perfume: thick, wide, slightly vanilla
Taste: rich in body and soft
Alcohol content: 14.5% Vol.

The Ciù Ciù farm, owned by the Bartolomei family, was founded in 1970 by the spouses Natalino and Anna and is located a few kilometers from the medieval Offida (AP), a beautiful town full of events and traditions. The company's commitment and tradition, together with the belief that wine should be the most authentic expression of the territory, give rise to a wide range of wines: from vines native to the Passerina and Pecorino Marche — rediscovered by the passion of a few winemakers — to the best known Sangiovese, Merlot, Barbera, Montepulciano, Pinot and Chardonnay. Ciù Ciù wines are an authentic expression of the company's commitment and winemaking tradition, the result of research and quality both in the vineyard and in the cellar, but also of a quality natural wine-growing ecosystem with a unique and irreplaceable “terroir” (microclimate, soil and subsoil).
Estimated between Friday 16 May and Thursday 22 May.
