Delivery and Returns

This prestigious wine is produced exclusively from hillside vineyards, whose best grapes after harvest are left to dry on racks. Before mixing it is aged in oak barrels and then bottled in underground cellars.
Ruby red color with garnet hue. On the nose it shows tertiary notes of oak and walnut, then showing hints of blueberry and marasca. The taste is full with good structure and tannic finish; at the back emerge memories of cherry and marasca in spirit.

Packaging: 1 bottle of 0,75 lt
Grapes: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and other native or recommended to complete vines.
Production area: The vineyards are located in the north-west of the hilly arch of the province of Verona, in the historic area of Valpolicella. The average age is 20 years and reaches 35 years in some Corvine. The soils are red and brown on marl of Cretaceous age and compact red soils on Eocenic limestones.
Harvest: In early October, after slight overripening. The harvest is manual, carried out by selecting the best bunches for the subsequent drying.
Vinification: After careful drying, in the first days of February the grapes are destemmed and crushed in a soft way; the must and the pomace ferment for a long time. Subsequently, after some decanting, the wine is transferred to special large oak barrels for aging that lasts more than 3 years. A small part, about 15%, is aged in barriques: then combined with the wine of the large barrels it will transmit its particular characteristic notes.
Finally, Amarone is bottled but is put on the market 6-8 months later, when it has completed the aging.
Alcohol content: 5.5% Vol.
Serving temperature: 18-20°C
Pairing: Excellent with roasts and game, it is ideal with extravecchi and/or spicy cheeses. It is advisable to uncork a few hours before or “oxygenate” with decanter.
