Delivery and Returns

The Barbera d'Alba Suculé of Cascina Lo Zoccolaio comes from vineyards located in Barolo and Monforte d'Alba, facing south-southeast, at 300 meters above sea level on marly-limestone soils. After the October harvest, done strictly by hand as per tradition, only the best grapes from the 2 vineyards are selected. We then proceed with destemming, soft pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30°C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in French barriques for 18 months and ages in the bottle for 6 months before being sold (the company has chosen a high quality bottle, with heavy glass, for better and longer conservation).
BARBERA D'ALBA SUCULÉ LO ZOCCOLAIO: THE TASTING
The Barbera d'Alba Suculé from Cascina Lo Zoccolaio is brilliant ruby red; on the nose it has lots of fruit, blackberry and raspberry jam first, aromatic herbs and a touch of sweet spices. The mouth is soft and at the same time tense, long and tasty. Excellent wine, slightly refreshed, to accompany the entire meal, it is perfect for fresh rigatoni with sausage and mushroom ragout.
The Lo Zoccolaio winery, as well as being a place of excellence for vinification, presents itself with an irresistible charm. Zoccolaio produces exclusively red wines with grapes from its own vineyards located in Barolo, Monforte d 'Alba, Novello and Verduno. Every stage of wine creation is followed with great passion and dedication. The grapes are lovingly cared for and respect for the rhythms of nature is the guideline of the approach used. The harvest is done by hand, without haste, selecting the best bunches to be expressed in the bottle. From the soft pressing of the grapes, to fermentation, to aging, up to the bottle, nothing is neglected, everything happens with respect of tradition but with the most modern methods and tools.
Estimated between Tuesday 6 May and Monday 12 May.
