The Chiaretto San Donino di Selva Capuzza comes from Groppello, Barbera, Marzemino and Sangiovese grapes grown on soils characterized by clay and skeleton. The harvest took place by hand in the Desenzano del Garda (BS) area. In the cellar, following the crushing-destemming, the must was fermented at low temperature with maceration of the must on the skins for a few hours. The refinement lasted a few months, always in stainless steel. Chiaretto is a type of rosé typical of the Lake Garda area; it is also called the "overnight wine" to indicate the short contact time of the must on the skins.
CHIARETTO SAN DONINO SELVA CAPUZZA: TASTING
The Chiaretto San Donino from Selva Capuzza is a brilliant pale pink colour. On the nose it releases aromas of small red fruits and notes of pink grapefruit. The sip is fresh, mineral and pleasantly fruity. Ideal as an aperitif, it goes well with cured meats and cheeses as well as delicious fish stew recipes.
Estimated between Friday 2 May and Thursday 8 May.
